Benji B returns to Dimensions Festival for the second time. The long running sound of Deviation comes to Croatia with possibly one of the most important DJs of our time.
Having started the Deviation show in 2002 on 1Xtra Benji B worked his way up through the ranks and is one of the most well respected voices in the industry. He is now a regular on Radio 1, hosting shows every Thursday from 2 to 4am. His Deviation night in London regularly showcases the likes of Mark Pritchard, Moodymann, Mala, Marc Mac, MJ Cole, and was the first night in Europe at which Flying Lotus and Dâm-Funk played. There have been one-off Deviation nights at Fabric featuring Madlib and J-Rocc and in Madrid, Spain.
Drawing from a massive range of styles, Benji B is a brilliant DJ, covering everything from Hip Hop, House, Garage and Dubstep, a man who refuses to be pigeonholed.
On the 2nd of January 2013 Benji B stood in a perspex box and mixed while a 16-piece string orchestra played along to the tunes. This was a very impressive spectacle, as the ensemble added some new layers to tracks like S-X’s Bricks, TNGHT’s Higher Ground, Jeremih’s F*ck You All The Ti-i-i-i-ime and others.
