South London native 35 year old DJ/Producer/Musician Dave Koor has been rising in the scene over the last few years. As one half of production duo Modified Man (alongside Adam Scrimshire) the pair have become sought after remixers, remixing for the likes of Dele Sosimi (WahWah45s), Inkswel (BBE Records) and the legendary Amp Fiddler (Midnight Riot Records). Modified Man released their own EP mid-2016 and garnered support from the likes of Alexander Nut, Huey Morgan and Nemone. Look out for future releases from Koor as part of his new solo project, Deoke.
As a musician, Dave can be found behind the keyboards for various artists, and currently plays with Andrew Ashong, The Gene Dudley Group, Connie Constance, and his own band The Expansions. He has also been called on to play for Stones Throw artists Myron and E, cult disco figure Alton McClain and soul legends Tracy Hamlin and The Manhattans.
Koor’s record collection encompasses a huge variety of styles and genres, from Woody Herman through to Henry Wu, and most things in between. He hosts a monthly radio show on Balamii with Jonny Drop and Scrimshire, where they draw on Jazz, Soul, Disco, Boogie and House. Dave has been known to rock some serious dance floors, including Peckham’s Bussey Building, Koko in Camden and the world famous Jazz Café, as well as the audiophile systems of Brilliant Corners and Behind This Wall. It was this love of variety that led to the conception of Albert’s Favourites, the label he now runs with Drop and Scrimshire, which is quickly becoming one of South London’s premier record labels.
